Dear Parents and Caregivers
It’s hard to believe that we are nearly at the half way point of the school year already. The students’ reports are now being finalised and they will be available from 4pm next Monday 30 June. As per our usual practice, if you have any questions about your child’s report, please use the last few days of term to contact the teacher or make an appointment.
Kindergarten 2026 I am well into interviewing for 2026 and the interest so far is very strong. Again, if you have a child coming next year, you need to let the office know immediately. Please do not leave it to the last minute. Both classes were filled this year, and it is looking likely that both will fill next year too. I sincerely would not like to see one of our siblings miss out!
Scripture Reflection Matthew 6:25 – 27 “That is why I am telling you not to worry about your life and what you are to eat, nor about your body and what you are to wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap or gather into barns; yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they are? Can any of you, no matter how much you worry, add one single cubit to your span of life?”
Whole School Mass Our final Mass for the term will be held on Thursday 3 July from 8.45am in the Church. All parents and grandparents are most welcome to join us. Whilst many of you have already met Fr Vinh, it will be his first whole school Mass with us as our new parish priest. I have met Fr Vinh a few times and I can assure you that he is wonderful. I’m really looking forward to forming a close relationship with Fr Vinh and I invite you to do so as well.
Term Dates The last day of this term will be Friday 4 July and we will be celebrating NAIDOC Day with numerous activities. More details will be sent home soon, however, it will be a wonderful way to finish the term. Please note that school commences again next term on Monday 21 July for all staff and students. I will be taking that week back as Long Service Leave and CEWA has appointed Mrs Lisa Liebregts as the Short Term Principal in my absence. I will be back at work from the start of Week 2 (just in time for the P&F meeting which will be held on Monday 28 July at 8.45am in the staffroom). I hope you have a restful holiday and that you get to enjoy some quality time with your families.
Laurie Bechelli
Principal
