Dear Parents and Caregivers

It’s hard to believe that we have completed another busy term’s work here at Mary Mac! It was an eleven week term and I think everyone is well and truly ready for these upcoming holidays. Please note that school resumes for all students on Monday 20 July. Our professional development day and Catholic day will be held in Week 5 next term which will give you a nice break at the half way point. I wish all families a restful break and I look forward to seeing you at the start of next term.

Scripture Reflection Matthew 11: 28-30 “Come to me all who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

NAIDOC Day Today, we celebrated NAIDOC Day across the school and all students participated in a variety of fun activities. The strength of our community lies in our diversity and that is what makes us so special. Our indigenous families are very important to us, as are all families. I often tell people that the whole world is here at Mary Mac and we are a very harmonious community that includes and values every individual person. We are all made in the image of God which makes all of us a special part of God’s universal family.

Reports The end of semester reports went online on Monday and I’m sure that you have read them by now. Please remember that if you have any questions, to contact the teachers before the end of this week.

Kindergarten 2027 I am well into the enrolment process for next year’s intake. If you have a younger child who is coming here next year, please contact the front office immediately.
