P&F News

Feb 10, 2021

Welcome to a new year of fantastic P & F events! The Parents & Friends Association work hard to
organise events and donations for our school community. We would like to send out a warm welcome
to all the new families joining our school and welcome back our returning families.

We are excited to have the P & F committee continuing again this year with some new faces, and
some old ones, on our P & F committee this year! Everyone is welcome to join the P & F. If joining is
too much of a commitment, you are always welcome to pop into our monthly meetings or to help out
with various events when you can. Any help is greatly appreciated!

We have a new Executive Committee this year:
Co – President: Raelene Kerin
Co -President: Candice Ladd
Secretary: Angela Cotellessa
Treasurer: Dee Wright
Please say ‘Hi’ when you see us around!

Our NEXT MEETING will be on MONDAY 15th March at 8:50am. Everyone is welcome!

If you would like an item raised at a P & F meeting, please let us know. Follow us on Facebook: Mary
MacKillop P&F or send us an e-mail at pandf@mmccps.wa.edu.au.
Looking forward to a great 2021.

Class Representatives: Would you like to do your little bit for the school community but can’t
commit to being a P & F committee member? Then become a class rep for your child’s class. It’s easy,
takes little of your time, and we’d love your input and help! Fill out the form outside your child’s
classroom or send us an email at pandf@mmccps.wa.edu.au.

The P&F Second Hand Uniform Shop: If you would like to purchase any second-hand uniforms, please
contact Anita Andrews on 0412 866 588. If you have any unwanted uniform items, please drop them
into the office to be donated to our shop. The second-hand uniform shop is operated by our parent
volunteers, with proceeds going back to our school community.

Get Involved in The School Banking Program

Mary MacKillop is excited to offer the Commonwealth Bank School Banking program to all students.

School Banking is a fun, interactive and engaging way for young Australians to learn about money and develop good savings habits. Children who deposit money into their Youthsaver account through School Banking will earn an exciting reward every time they reach 10 deposits.

School Banking is also a great fundraiser for our school. Our school receives a Regular Savers Contribution of $5 for every 10 deposits processed per student as well as an Annual Contribution which is based on the number of students who made at least one School Banking deposit in the prior year.

Getting involved in School Banking is easy!

All you need to get involved in the School Banking program is a Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver
account. You can open an account for your child in one of two ways:
1. Online
Visit commbank.com.au/schoolbanking and click on the link to open a Youthsaver account.
2. In branch

Visit a Commonwealth Bank branch with identification for yourself and your child, like a driver’s licence
and birth certificate.

If your child has an existing Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account they can start banking straight away. They just need to bring their deposit in every week on School Banking day using their Dollarmites deposit wallet.

School Banking day is Wednesday. Each week your child needs to bring their deposit in their banking
wallet to the classroom and place it in the grey satchel provided.

If you would like to know more about School Banking, please ask for a 2021 School Banking program
information pack from the school office or visit www.commbank.com.au/schoolbanking
