P & F 2021
On Monday we held the P & F AGM. Sadly, we did not have any nominations for the P & F Executive for 2021 at this meeting. If anyone is interested in continuing the P & F next year, please urgently contact the office or any of this year’s P & F Executive members. We need 4 parents/guardians on the Executive (and additional Committee members) to make a P & F.
Entertainment Books
The P & F continue to offer ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS. If you are interested, please visit https://www.entertainment.com.au/orderbooks/861g83. Proceeds go back to our school community.
P & F Second Hand Uniform Shop
If you would like to purchase any second-hand uniforms, please contact Anita Andrews on 0412 866 588. The second-hand uniform shop is located next to the netball courts. Payments can be made by cash or direct deposit to the P & F account: (BSB: 066 167; AC: 105 100 78; Ref: “Uniform” + Receipt Number).
If you have any unwanted uniform items, please drop them into the office to be donated to our shop.
The second hand uniform shop is operated by our parent volunteers, with proceeds going back to our school community.
School Banking
Did you know that when your child banks with School Banking, not only do they learn about the value of money and build their savings, but the P & F and the School benefit? Your child earns interest on their savings account and is rewarded with prizes from the Rewards Program. Every time your child banks 10 times with a minimum deposit of 5c, the P & F receives $5. The P & F also receive a bonus for the number of students that bank in the year. So get involved and contact our School Banking Coordinators and parent volunteers: Amy Lam (thelams@iinet.net.au) and Dee Wright (Dee-Beau@live.com.au).
Don’t forget to bring your deposit wallets to school on Wednesday’s.
2020 Summary
Our aim for the P & F in 2020 was to focus on ‘friend-raising’ and building our school community spirit. We were able to successfully provide all of the usual P & F events despite the difficulties that the year presented. We provided the Family Fun Night; Easter Raffle and Colouring In Competition; Mother’s Day Stall; Silver Coin Challenge; Morning Teas; Father’s Day Stall and Raffle; Sport’s Carnival Hairspray; Movie Night; and Disco. It was clear at all our events that our families thoroughly enjoyed coming together as a school community. We definitely achieved our goal of building our school community this year.
The other benefit of our events being so well attended and supported was that we were able to make a massive donation back to the school this year! We donated tablets for the IT program; gratitude gifts to the teachers and staff in recognition of the significant extra work that they put into ensuring our students could continue their education throughout the restrictions; a double set of Polydron XL construction blocks for the undercover area; equipment for the MMCCPS Netball Club; and our largest donation towards the nature playground upgrade: the flying fox and the creek bed. Thank you for supporting your P & F so that we could achieve all of this. Together we have enriched the school experience for our children.
Finally, thank you for the honour of being your P & F President this year. It is so rewarding to see the enjoyment on our students faces as a result of our hard work. It makes it all worthwhile. I still hold hope that some form of the P & F will continue next year for the benefit of our children.
