Christmas Hamper Appeal

The response to the Christmas hamper appeal has been heartwarming with lots of goodies filling up the hamper bags. Please continue to support the appeal by bringing in non perishable food into your child’s classroom.

Please note that you have until FRIDAY 3 DECEMBER to donate food to the appeal.

CPSSA Summer Carnival

Year Five classes competed in the annual CPSSA Summer Carnival recently. Our cricket and tennis teams played other Catholic Primary schools with one of our tennis teams winning their group competition. Mr Power would like to thank all the children for their efforts on the day as well as Mrs Strecker and Mrs Hunt who assisted during the day. Mrs Hunt’s husband, Lorne, with his many years of experience in cricket assisted our team during the carnival; we would also like to thank him for his time and generosity.

 

Mary MacKillop Netball Club

I would like to acknowledge and thank one of our ex-parents Alicia Peck who volunteered her time for 8 weeks in our clinic for our Pre- Primary and Year 1 students to learn the skills of netball. She would not have been able to do it without the support of our Year 6 students who volunteered their time every week.

Kindergarten 2022 Enrolment Applications

If you have a child born between 1st July 2017 – 30th June 2018, they are due to attend Kindergarten in 2022. Application forms are available at the office or online at our website www.mmccps.wa.edu.au
Please return application forms to the school office ASAP.

All sibling applications need to be lodged as enrolment process is now under way.

We don’t want you to miss out.

 

Library  News

We would like to thank the following people – 

The Ballajura Lions Club for donating some beautiful books for the MMCCPS Library.

The parents who covered many books this year. 

The P&F for donating books and many useful items to help make the library an inviting place for students.

 

 

Book Covering

The library would like to make a list of people who would be able to take some books home to cover them in contact. The contact would be cut to size. If you would like to be shown how to cover there will be a workshop on Monday 29th November between 2-2.30pm in the Library. If you think you could help, please leave your name at the school office. When books are ready to cover, we will contact you to collect from the front office.

LEGO Brick Collection

Woolworths Supermarket have commenced a Lego Brick incentive for every $30 spent in store.

We would gratefully accept any donations which will be used as part of our Lego Therapy program. Donations may be left at the front office, thank you in advance.

 

Canteen News

The new Term 4 CANTEEN MENU for 2021 is available on the MMCCPS website.

The canteen operates on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. To alleviate using money, Mary MacKillop Catholic Community Primary School has an online ordering system for Canteen orders.  This enables a more efficient and effective service available to you and your family.
