Interschool Cross Country
On Tuesday, 29th July, the interschool cross-country team travelled to UWA Sports Park to compete in the Catholic Primary School Sports Association Interschool Cross Country Carnival.
A big thank you to all the parents and guardians who came along to support and cheer on the team as it was greatly appreciated! I would also like to extend a special thank you to Mr Bechelli and Mr Daniel for generously volunteering their time to assist with the day’s events.
Our students should be extremely proud of their efforts and the results they achieved. Their determination, sportsmanship, and team spirit were outstanding.
Teachers vs Yr 6 Netball Game
Our annual Year 6s vs Teachers netball game was a fun and energetic way to celebrate the end of the season and what a season it’s been! The game was played in great spirit, with the Year 6 students showing off their impressive netball skills, sharp team work, and plenty of laughter along the way.
The teachers brought their A-game, but it was the students who stole the show with their speed, clever plays, and outstanding sportsmanship. Both teams gave it their all, making it a competitive but goodnatured match that had the whole school cheering from the sidelines.
This game marked the end of an extremely successful year for our Year 6s, who have proudly represented the Mary MacKillop Netball Club. They’ve consistently displayed dedication, talent, and a love of the game across all their matches this year.
A huge thank you to Mrs Thorne for umpiring the game and helping to organise the event. Your support and enthusiasm helped make it such a great afternoon for everyone involved.
Well done to all of our Year 6 players. You should be very proud of everything you’ve achieved this season!

Canteen News
The new Semester 2 CANTEEN MENU for 2025 is available on the MMCCPS website or alternatively if you require a hard copy, at the office or canteen. Please refer to this new menu ONLY, as many changes have taken place.
The canteen operates on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. To alleviate using money, Mary MacKillop Catholic Community Primary School has an online ordering system for canteen orders. All Online food must be ordered by 8.30 am. This enables a more efficient and effective service available to you and your family. You can visit quickcliq.com.au to register.
All lunch/recess orders must be placed in classroom baskets before the class commences. They will then be taken to the canteen. If your child is late, they are to take the lunch order directly to the canteen.
All prepaid drink orders from Years 1-6 are to be collected by your child at the canteen with their lunch order bags as proof of purchase.
Ice creams are then sold after the students are dismissed from eating their lunch. If ice creams are pre ordered, the bag must be shown at the canteen when picking up the ice cream.
Please note, your child can purchase a drink or ice cream without pre ordering if they have money.
Parents, please do not allow your children to buy ice creams for their friends and large amounts of money should not be given to them. Thank you for your co operation in this matter.
If you wish to volunteer in the canteen please come and see me. We would like parents who have some spare time to come and help in the canteen and be a volunteer! It’s so rewarding for parents to see their children at school helping us.
