P&F News

Sep 16, 2020

What a wonderfully epic fortnight for the P & F! We hope that all the kids enjoyed giving a gift from the Father’s Day Stall and that all the Dad’s had a great Father’s Day. We hope that all the Father’s Day Raffle Winners enjoyed their prizes. We hope that all the kids (and adults) enjoyed getting their hair sprayed the colour of their faction on the Sports Carnival day. And we hope that everyone who attended the Movie Night had a fabulous time! Thanks for supporting the P & F so that we can give back to our kids.

We have our next meeting on Monday 21 September at 8:45am. Everyone is welcome to come! We will be planning the disco and we would love some fresh ideas and a bit of extra help to make sure it runs smoothly.

Father’s Day Raffle

Congratulations to our Father’s Day Raffle winners:

1st Prize: Chev Giulliamse from 4A

2nd Prize: Eljae Arthur from 3P

3rd Prize: Dante Cacciola from PPA

4th Prize: Christian Paul from PPA

The money raised by the Father’s Day Stall and Raffle will go towards the playground upgrade that has begun with the flying fox on the main oval and the creek bed water play area in the K/PP area. Thanks for supporting the P & F.

Sports Carnival

We were inundated with students (and teachers) getting colourful hair for the sports carnival! It was a fantastic way to build momentum for the day and show support for the teams. A massive thank you to the parents who helped get coloured hairspray on the long line of students who visited us.

Movie Night

It was a momentous occasion to be able to hold an event after such a long time. Thank you to everyone who came and made the night a great success. A special mention to the amazing people who worked so hard to make the night happen. Thank you for supporting the P & F!

Cards that Count

After all that’s happened this year, perhaps this Christmas is the time to get back to the tradition of sending proper Christmas cards to loved ones far away? Or would you like to create some special personalised Birthday cards? The P & F are again offering Cards That Count for you to create your own personalised cards, made in Australia on 100% recycled paper. Your child (and you) can create as many artworks as you wish, free of charge. They are uploaded for you to place your orders. Please let the P & F know if you would like some artwork templates so that you can create your own unique gift cards for Christmas, Birthday’s or any other occasion, while raising money for our school!

The artwork templates must be returned to the School Office by Wednesday 30th September 2020.

Entertainment Books

The P & F continue to offer ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS. If you are interested, please visit https://www.entertainment.com.au/orderbooks/861g83. Proceeds go back to our school community.

Second-Hand Uniforms

If you would like to purchase any second-hand uniforms, please contact Anita Andrews on 0412 866 588. The second-hand uniform shop is located next to the netball courts. Payments can be made by cash or direct deposit to the P & F account: (BSB: 066 167; AC: 105 100 78; Ref: “Uniform” + Receipt Number).

If you have any unwanted uniform items, please drop them into the office to be donated to our shop.

The second-hand uniform shop is operated by our parent volunteers, with proceeds going back to our school community.

School Banking

Did you know that when your child banks with School Banking, not only do they learn about the value of money and build their savings, but the P & F and the School benefit? Your child earns interest on their savings account and is rewarded with prizes from the Rewards Program. Every time your child banks 10 times with a minimum deposit of 5c, the P & F receives $5. The P & F also receive a bonus for the number of students that bank in the year. So get involved and contact our School Banking Coordinators and parent volunteers: Amy Lam (thelams@iinet.net.au) and Dee Wright (Dee-Beau@live.com.au).

Don’t forget to bring your deposit wallets to school on Wednesday’s.

P & F Disco

P & F Disco will be on the 30th October. Please save the date. More details to come soon.

Next Meeting

Our NEXT MEETING will be on MONDAY 21st SEPTEMBER at 8:45am. If you would like an item raised at a P & F meeting, please let us know. Follow us on Facebook: Mary MacKillop P&F, or send us an e-mail at pandf@mmccps.wa.edu.au.

Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe school holidays.
