CPSSA Interschool Athletics Carnival

On Friday, 31st October, the Mary MacKillop Interschool Athletics team travelled to WA Athletics Stadium to compete in the Catholic Primary School Sport Association (CPSSA) Interschool Athletics Carnival.

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and guardians who came along to support, cheer on, and assist the team throughout the day. I would also like to extend special thanks to Mr Bechelli and Mrs Smith for generously volunteering their time to help with the smooth running of the carnival.

Additionally, congratulations to Summer Canham, who set a new CPSSA Interschool Athletics Turbo Javelin record with an impressive throw of 23.99m!

All students who participated should be incredibly proud of their efforts and the progress they have made in their athletic abilities—a result of their dedication and regular attendance at interschool training sessions and running club.

Dental Screening

Please be aware that the Ballajura Dental Therapy Centre will be attending the school and to conduct our dental screening on Friday the 14 November 2025, in the morning.

We will be screening all Pre-Primary, Year 3 and Year 6 children that are currently enrolled with our service.
Should you prefer for your child not to be screened or withdraw from the service please contact the Ballajura Dental Therapy Centre directly.

Dental screening is a quick assessment of dental needs, growth and development, but does not replace your child’s thorough examination at the clinic.

If any children are not enrolled with our service, and would like to be, please complete the enrolment form given to your child by the school.

Canteen News

The new Semester 2 CANTEEN MENU for 2025 is available on the MMCCPS website or alternatively if you require a hard copy, at the office or canteen. Please refer to this new menu ONLY, as many changes have taken place.

The canteen operates on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. To alleviate using money, Mary MacKillop Catholic Community Primary School has an online ordering system for canteen orders. All Online food must be ordered by 8.30 am. This enables a more efficient and effective service available to you and your family. You can visit quickcliq.com.au to register.

All lunch/recess orders must be placed in classroom baskets before the class commences. They will then be taken to the canteen. If your child is late, they are to take the lunch order directly to the canteen.

All prepaid drink orders from Years 1-6 are to be collected by your child at the canteen with their lunch order bags as proof of purchase.

Ice creams are then sold after the students are dismissed from eating their lunch. If ice creams are pre ordered, the bag must be shown at the canteen when picking up the ice cream.

Please note, your child can purchase a drink or ice cream without pre ordering if they have money.

Parents, please do not allow your children to buy ice creams for their friends and large amounts of money should not be given to them. Thank you for your co operation in this matter.

If you wish to volunteer in the canteen please come and see me. We would like parents who have some spare time to come and help in the canteen and be a volunteer! It’s so rewarding for parents to see their children at school helping us.
