It is hard to believe that this is the last newsletter for the year. For a while there, I wasn’t sure what this year would look like. However, the good news is that we finally got there as everyone did their bit. Like I said all year long, as bad as it was, we got off very lightly here in WA. I sincerely hope that next year is less disruptive. I would like to thank and acknowledge all of our students, staff and parents for your outstanding support of one another this year. We have certainly learned a lot and have grown as a community as a result of this adversity. I take this opportunity to wish you a very safe, holy and restful holiday break. I look forward to seeing you in February!

The AGM was held on Monday night and I am pleased to report that our school is in a very strong position and we are well placed into the future. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Board and P&F members for their commitment and service to our beautiful community. A big thank you is extended to Dee Wright who has retired from the Board. Dee has also been very active on the P&F in the past and has made many wonderful contributions to our school. I am happy to announce that Melissa Carlson has replaced Dee on the Board and I’m sure she will continue to do great things here at Mary Mac. From now on, as a part of CEWA becoming incorporated, the Board will be known as the School Advisory Council as the CEWA Commission now becomes the Board. There will be a number of changes but mostly, they won’t affect you.
