From the Principal – Term 4, Week 3

It was wonderful having Bishop Don Sproxton in our community last week! He was very affirming of all the good things happening here at Mary Mac, especially our focus on the Making Jesus Real programme. Bishop Don is a big fan of helping our students trying to lead their lives as Jesus led his. This means being welcoming, encouraging, thankful, inclusive, enthusiastic and remembering to say sorry when we hurt or offend others. The whole ministry of Jesus was very much based around the key values of forgiveness and healing. By leading our lives as Jesus did, we too can be forgiving and healing members of our community.

From the Principal – Term 4, Week 1

Welcome back to the final term of the year. It promises to be another busy and productive one here at Mary Mac. I would like to start the term on a big positive by congratulating Jhouella Vo in Year 6 for receiving a certificate for an outstanding performance in the Primary Instrumental Solo (Strings) section of the Performing Arts Festival. You don’t often see this award given so it is a huge accolade to Jhouella. It acknowledges all the hours of dedicated practice she has put in. Congratulations Jhouella. We are all very proud of you!

From the Principal – Term 3, Week 9

Wow! What an eventful couple of weeks it has been at Mary MacKillop where children were given many opportunities to showcase their talents and join in with the fun at the recent events: Father’s Day fun and games on the oval, Athletics Carnival and Edu Dance concert. Many thanks to all staff involved in coordinating these events which continue to highlight our school’s wonderful community spirit.
