School Fees
Thank you to all the families who have paid their school fees by due dates or pre-arranged payment plans. We very much appreciate this as it gives the school good cashflow to be able to purchase resources for the children, this year.
I have contacted those families who have not paid their outstanding balances in the past few days. I did manage to speak to some families, others I have emailed. All families with outstanding fees have been emailed with another copy of their fee statement for payment as soon as possible or call me directly on Ph 92417506 if there is any issue. Paying school fees is important to enable the school to purchase resources for children.
Thank you for your support for the school.

Scholastic News
A big thankyou to everyone for their support during 2020 by purchasing Scholastic books and products – it is a wonderful opportunity to encourage our children to read a great range of books
As well as this, with every dollar that our families spend on books, MMCCPS earns points that are then used to purchase and update resources for our Library and English Learning Area. Despite the year that 2020 proved to be, we were able to support these areas with some great purchases.
I look forward to continuing as your Scholastic co-ordinator in 2021 and would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.
Library News

Make Caring Common
I suspect most parents rank a sense of caring for others as a high priority. Few parents want to raise a mean-spirited, self-centred child with little empathy or care for the welfare of others. But looking out for others doesn’t come easily to all children, particularly when families are small and child-centric. Here are some pointers from Michael Grose:
Put caring into words Families have their own proprietary language. That is, they develop meaningful words and phrases that reflect their values and activities. In my family, the term ‘non-negotiable’ has specific meaning, referencing a ritual such as mealtime that everyone is expected to attend. Its ‘non-negotiable’ nature reinforces our core value of family connectedness. Similarly, regular use of caring language such as encouragement, words of kindness and phrases of appreciation can become an integral part of your family’s vernacular.
Making kindness normal Kindness is caring in action. It’s impossible to be kind to another person and be selfish at the same time. A smile, a small gift, an offer of assistance are simple acts of kindness that display caring and connection to others. You can promote kindness in your child through encouragement, modelling and recognition.
Practise concern for others Three-year-old Grace fell heavily from a table, giving herself a shock. Five-year-old Ruby immediately reached for her sister, hugging her until she calmed down. Ruby’s immediate concern was for her sister’s wellbeing, which was acknowledged by her grateful parents.
Help at home, without being paid Children in families that place a high value on caring for others generally perform household chores without the lure of money. They do so because they’ve been taught that helping is a caring activity. “We help each other because we care for each other” is the unspoken code here. Kids who care for others think “what’s in it for we” rather than “what’s in it for me”. The latter is a self-centred approach to life.
Caring is a higher-level quality that needs nurturing

Back to School Announcement
We all know WA have done incredibly well during the Covid-19 pandemic and we at Uniform Concepts are very appreciative to all our customers who have adapted to the changes we have made to date within our stores. As we approach the very busy January period, and to ensure the continued safety of our customers and staff, we will be limiting the number of customers within the store to adhere to the physical distancing requirements. As such, we have introduced an appointment system for anyone who requires a fitting service and would encourage you to take advantage of this to avoid longer than normal wait times. Appointments can be made by clicking on the link: www.nellgray.com.au/appointments – bookings for January are now open.
- “I’m new to this and my child needs to try on uniform” – we strongly encourage you to make an appointment.
- “I know exactly what I want and do not need to try on or view the uniform sizes” – we encourage you to order online at www.nellgray.com.au/schools – you can opt for click and collect or we can deliver to your preferred address for just $10.
- Exchanges & Refunds – if you need to try on different sizes, please make an appointment, if you are simply swapping sizes or require a refund, visit our store.
- ‘Walk-Ins’ – Online ordering and appointments are preferred however customers can still visit our store at their discretion – wait times may vary depending on the day and time.
- Hygiene at our Stores – Hand sanitiser is provided on entry to our store for customer use and our uniform samples and fitting rooms are sprayed several times a day with a disinfectant spray.
To further assist with limiting customers in store, we kindly request that only one parent is present with their child during a fitting.
- Please do not enter our store if you are feeling unwell or are recovering from a recent illness
- Have travelled from interstate or overseas
- Have had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19
- Have tested positive for COVID-19 or awaiting a test result
